Paste, Paper, Pencils Project

This is a project done by our Missions Committee to help families registered in the Rice Lake area school district with school supplies. The Missions Committee does different fund raisers throughout the year to support this worthy cause. Through these fundraisers and grants we are able to provide gift cards for each child in qualified families. This year the PPP Project will be done through our local Rice Lake Walmart. These gift cards can be used for school supplies, shoes and school clothes. Applications must be turned in by noon on August 1, 2022.

Benjamin House

We also sponsor a room at Benjamin House whose mission is: To work together as a non-profit agency with community organizations and individuals to provide housing opportunities for the homeless population in Barron County.  Benjamin’s House is a 24 hour supervised shelter which will include case management services. Each resident at the shelter receives assistance with goal setting, problem solving and connecting with area resources. Benjamin House is located in Rice Lake and their number is 715-736-2437.  For more information go to their website at: http://www.benjamins-house.org/  We also provide the evening meal on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. If you are interested in volunteering to help provide this meal please call the church office 715-234-3919.

We also collect supplies for the Rice Lake High School for those students who might need some personal hygiene products. Each church or organization involved in this project chose a month during the year to help stock up these important and badly needed items.
